CloudQuant is THE trading strategy incubator. We’re building a free (SaaS-based) python data research tool for ordinary people with extraordinary trading ideas. We license and fund the best trading strategies and pay our users a share of the profits. Our group is a FINTECH startup housed under the umbrella of a trading firm with existing infrastructure and financial resources.

We are looking for a Web Developer responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users, as well as translating the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce the visual elements of the application. You will also design the overall architecture of the web application and evolve it to ensure maximum performance and stability.

Requirements

• 2+ years of full stack development experience

• Proficient knowledge of a JavaScript

• Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms (such as mobile vs, desktop), and optimizing output to match the specific platform

• Good understanding of server-side templating languages

• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes

• Data migration, transformation, and scripting

• Management of hosting environment, including database administration and scaling an application to support load changes

• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

• Ability to implement automated testing platforms and unit tests

• Good understanding of NodeJS and Angular

• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery

• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like Git

• Exhibit willingness to address needs and to constantly improve or change based upon feedback from a great deal many sources including management, clients, and Dilbert cartoons.

• Take ownership of the design of the overall architecture of the web application

• Actively participate in designing (and eventually translate to visual elements) UI/UX wireframes

Educational Requirements:

• Preferred BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering discipline

Preferred Requirements:

• Developer evangelist experience is a plus

• Trading Algo development experience

• Trading or investment systems (professionally or personally)

• Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery, TDD, agile experience
